A newly recruited hangman in Sri Lanka has resigned in shock after being shown the gallows for the first time. The country has not carried out a judicial execution since 1976 but has over 400 prisoners on death row. The last permanent hangman had also said the gallows made him nervous, and he felt he was lucky only to have done clerical work despite his job title.Maybe they should have advertised the vacancy in Gen Forum |

kill a twisted, vicious, animal masquerading as a human? So all the victims can move on, no future victims happen at their hands, and so there's one less piece of s**t in t he world? Gee let me think, I know this one

And no to kill an evil person doesn't ''make you as bad as them'', it makes you someone who's done a good thing, not an evil thing.

killing a r*pist or nonce isn't the same as r*ping an innocent adult or child and traumatising them for life, no matter how well the ''as bad as them'' line rolls off the tongue

imo people who let people like that live are assisting them to do more evil, and are part of the problem themselves.

some say what of the 1 in 10/20 or whatever who is wrongly convicted? I feel what about the 9/19 out of 10/20 who are fked up and will do more damage as soon as they can? What is the greater collateral damage? Nothing's perfect.
