As this is a general forum, I need some help. My newborn Carli is using Pepticate formula baby milk. It causes acidity poo, and some constipation...and it burns her an*s, although not her bum, we use fissan paste...Should we try changing to a different formula milk? She cries immediately after a poo, even if its just a smudge, indicating it burns her an*s...the moment we wipe her an*s part, she settles down...any input appreciated...  |

Do you give her plenty of water to drink,between feed's? talk to your health visitor about it.It's maybe too rich for her.

We used Aptamil, and she was fine with it. Admittedly we usually used a prescription-only high energy version, because she was ill and had to be fed by machine, but our reserve Aptamil was from the supermarket. She didn't have additional water. It was enough of an effort to get enough milk into her. She did also have breast milk though. |

About the water....just asked my wife.....she were told no extra water was needed, according to the good doc.....gonna get a tin of S26 tomorrow, and see how it goes......yes, I googled a LOT, before choosing that.....just wanted to hear suggestions that might help.....

Its after midnight here, so its sunday.....no way to see the doc that is in charge of Carli before monday.....but I'm going ahead with changing the milk, regardless.....my child has been thru enough suffering......
