@ crail - 27.05.21 - 05:16am How can you act like you understand the universe but still believe in baby Jesus Because it really doesn't matter You need to keep your thinking broad.. or then you become a bigot |

@ crail - 27.05.21 - 05:33am That won't kill us. It's not a requirement to have a Dyson sphere. We are just on the cusp of nuclear fusion Unless we achieve close to light speed interstellar space travel, we're limited to this solar system. |

We can send seeds and tardigrades, however, hitched on Breakthrough Starshot space probes to closest star systems. Let them colonise wherever.

@ crail - 27.05.21 - 05:35am What are you babbling on about? Shut up Lockdowns for a region for one person that stayed an one of those COVID-19 quarantine hotels, probably over a curry delivery. The Mouse Plague. And rich people telling the poor people to move out of their domain. |

@ trunking - 27.05.21 - 12:40pm Unless we achieve close to light speed interstellar space travel, we're limited to this solar system. Travelling at ten percent of light speed would be tolerable.. flight to Proxima Centauri 40 or so years journey at ten percent of light speed. |

It has been suggested that the Toba Volcano Catastrophe event, may have caused the speciation of modern humans into the different races we have today.. 70 000 years ago, a massive population bottleneck took place, leaving just 10 000 humans, or under, to repopulate the Earth. It has also been suggested that African populations weren't affected that much by the resultant global volcanic winter event, which is why modern humans in Africa have more genetic variability. Competition by various surviving hominid species took place and Neanderthal hominid species may have come extinct as modern humans were forced to adopt new adaptive strategies, outcompeting and eventually replacing them and ''other archaic human species''. |

@ shadow27 - 27.05.21 - 05:52pm Travelling at ten percent of light speed would be tolerable.. flight to Proxima Centauri 40 or so years journey at ten percent of light speed. That's if Proxima Centauri is even habitable |
