So some woman bought a lottery ticket as a gift for her nephew which won around 50,000 pounds or dollars, not sure where. But afterwards she asked the nephews mother for 3 quarters of the win, she said no, so she asked the nephew, who promptly blocked her. Do you think she should have expected any of the winnings? I think asking for 3 quarters is brazen, if I was the nephew I would have definitely given her a nice chunk of money, 5 or 10 grand, as apparently she was struggling financially. |

My mum used to send my aunty 10 scratch cards, for her birthday. About 3 years ago my aunt won 500 on one of the cards. She offered my mum 250 my mum refused.

She should not have bought it then she is entitled to nothing and should not ask maybe then the nephew might have given her something as a thank you

I dunno the timeline but I think if she had waited until he had gotten the money and just said congratulations and not asked for a penny she would have been given something, surely.

Keep a lottery win to yourself. Tell nobody about it.

It was a birthday gift and the lady was struggling herself for money, I think it was mean not to give her a small share.

I would have given her a slice had she not been so rude. Now I'm just going to buy her lottery tickets to the same value she gave me. |
