Today at Lords,London, which is called the Mecca of cricket, the 2000th test match in the history of the game will be played. when the first test match was played in 1877 against Australia and England at MCG nobody would have thought it would be this much difficult for test cricket to survive. No other forms of the game were invented then.

Looking back at the history of the game, after the first test match in 1877 ,it took 31 years to complete 100 test matches when England Played Australia at SCG in 1908 it took 90 years to complete the first thousand test matches, but the amazing fact is it just took 27 years to complete the next thousand. Credit goes to the ICC. Remember it took 31 years to complete first 100 test matches.
