for an HP laptop with switchable graphics (Intel HD to ATI Radeon) , how do I disable the intel and make the ATI as default without causing any harm.. i have checked BIOS , no graphics settings of any sort. |

lol........... i read from the net someone whose display got damaged after doing that..... he had to reinstall the ATI drivers t fix it

its the closest thing to a solution after they removed the bios option. alot of ppl have tried numerous things to disable it but it ends up corrupting the dedicated gpu also.

dunno about radeon gpu but nvidia gpu has a setting to disable intel gpu and set itself as default gpu. try right clicking on desktop and see if there's radeon in the menu from which you may find the setting

on my laptop it has the optimus thing and it only uses the dedicated gpu when it needs to, the rest of the time it used intergrated to save battery power

update driver with ati latest driver. it will fix game and detect ati as graphic card
