no chance !! you need to flash cf-auto-root, I don't think anything else works. for that you need Odin on your laptop/PC

yes there's is on xda forums. google all these words : xda forums cf auto root and add either I9505, I9506 or I9500 depending on which version you have..

Try framaroot... or theres a signed supwr su zip which.I used to root my Note..... try either of em... Otherwise I'll upload that zip later

I tried framaroot, it doesn't work, says your device seems not vulnerable to exploit. S4 is not mentioned in the supported device name list.

go to XDA website and go to the desired forum and search cf root

Rooting without a PC was possible back in the days Android1.6 (Donut), I think it was in Android2.1 (Eclaire) when it began to disappear, can't remember exactly.
