been surfing around and just found that the hsdpa plus has a downlink speed of 168mbps but the speedtest tels me i have a download rate of 70mbps apart from al these readings,my phone take ages to download a 20mb file i mean are these readings wrong or what,a 20mb file wudv took me sum miliseconds wen my phne is on hsdpa plus bt it takes upto 5min im in south africa,,a wanda if am the nly 1 xperiencing this |

that quote you saw must be reporting speeds in megabits as opposed to megabytes (8 times difference)... also whatever speed your phone is capable of, it doesn't follow that your network gives you anything like the maximum possible speed or that download sources like your 20mb file do either (that would cost them more money)...

must be the site you are downloading from. not all servers give you full speed

I'm in complete agreement with crail, it will be the site that you are downloading from, I have 152mb broadband and on some sites the download speed is capped at 50kb per second, it all depends on the site that you are using, I get around 17mb a second from some of the premium sites I have use of, that's like a gig a minute roughly

exactly... i get max 10 mbps transfer rate on torrent .youtube .steam..jmicrosoft site ect..n 30mbps on origin although i have 1mbps connx..
