As usual with Huawei, battery life is looking promising, and it comes with the 40W Supercharger the Mate 20 Pro had, so 70percent charge from 0 is done in just 30mins, a full charge takes about 1 hour from 0 percent.

Cannot believe I have 8GB RAM in this thing, the phone barely uses more than 4GB of it...

So this phone officially has the Best Camera and Best Battery Life I have ever experienced. Getting over 9hours SOT consistently with over 24 hours off charge and the Display Brightness set at 70percent.
The camera is someehow resolving Light in the lowest light situations, it is unbelievable, it somehow manages to resolve more detail in a dark place than the human eye, it has blown the Google Pixel 3 XL Night Sight out the water

Hope the note 10 will have a good low light camera

Yeah, I'll put up some pics up, it's pretty insane, remember how the old Nokia N93 got 3x optical zoom? The P30 Pro does 5x Optical, absolutely no loss of detail, at X10 zoom it goes Hybrid with both the lense and lossless tech taking over, once again no loss in detail, then you hit about 25x and there's a bit of grain but still clearer than what 99percent of phones at 5x Zoom, then you get to 50x zoom and some how the phone can still maintain focus although it will be grainy but it's still better than any other mobile can achieve at half that.

Simply incredible where Smartphones have come, where they pretty much fit 5x Optical Zoom in the slim chassis of a phone. Jerry Rig did a teardown of the P30 Pro to showcase the Periscope Camera, very intriguing stuff. But the Zoom is just one thing, the phones Night Mode is a masterpiece, it somehow resolves light in places where even the human can barely see anything. Have a look on YouTube how it manages this, it still blows me away, I need to some how take a video with another phone to show how the Night Mode works as in a few short seconds it will brighten up and maintain focus in areas that are really dark without the need to ruin the photo with the flash

So I am waiting for the Android Q Beta thats coming out soon for the P30 Pro

I think polo 011 would make a first rate salesman! although not saying I doubt the product here because I most certainly do not! however, the problem with high zooms always depends on your ability to keep the device still enough! I just cant see people putting a smartphone on a tripod.

Got the Android 10 update with EMUI 10 Update on my P30 Pro today - the same update is also rolling out to the Mate 20 Pro by the way!
Anyway good to see wider support of Dark Mode in apps like Instagram and Apple Music for Android, as well as Lights Out Dark Mode for Twitter and not that crappy Dark Blue dark mode it had before. UI is even smoother and a little faster, battery still seems to be great but I will advise after a week of usage. UI iconography is more rounded flatter which is nice, they seem to be simplifying their design overall. Very happy!

Side note: Huawei were one of the first OEMs to bring dark Mode about 2 years ago, good to see wider support of it though with more phones coming with OLED displays, it makes more sense.

Anyway, happy with Android 10 in my P30 Pro! running great!

Mate 20 EMUI 10 released this morning. Just received mine on mate 20x OTA

So back to my P30 Pro while my insurance sort out my iPhone claim.

P30 Pro is still such a beast, to think it's still such a capable shooter with the 5x Optical Zoom Periscope Camera, I see the Samsung S20 Ultra is actually a 4x Optical Zoom lense with binning trickery after 4x zoom, glad to see more OEMs including the Periscope and better Night Mode photograpy.

Also loving how fast and efficient Android 10 is, phone is still getting easily upwards of 9hours SOT on a charge, the included 40W charger still is mind-blowing as most phones don't come with that in the box, also loving being back on a Dual SIM, with dual sim 4G LTE.

Overall I should be good until my insurance is sorted, missing my iPhone but I am being reminded how awesome Android is again.
