Bought The unlocked phone 2 days ago..started the phone without a Sim card and updated the Oct security patch and again checked for android 13 update but says I have the latest software  , do I have to put my Sim card to get the update? Or am I missing something?, it's a SM-S901E/DS model |

yeah the S22 was the first to get OneUI 5. use Frija or Samfirm to download it for your CSC and flash it yourself. |

Been on android 13 a while now. Think it might be region locked and timed accordingly. Just need to wait it out.

he's probably well outside the region the phone's CSC belongs to, if so he won't see anything unless he does it himself.

Odin is your friend! BUT don't go flashing Indian firmware too quick. I would literally open a live chat with Samsung customer service first to ask about it. on my phone Indian users had to have a special update to make 5G work on Jio and Airtel. your frequency bands for 5G might be very different or not even supported on that hardware. |

What is the rush with the updates anyway? Is it not better to be a little late for them to sort out new bugs? I used to itch for the latest also beta tested all the new windows versions and flashed phones to get the latest. Did not really serve me any good in the end.
