Does any1 know if its possible to re-map or put a chip on that model?its the old 5 series,192bhp,V6,24 valve.i checked on the internet and they only re-map/chip newer models for some reason. |

Stock it has thicker valve stems and stronger valve springs i heard of people revving those motors to 9000rpm with a stock bottom end!ul just need the solid lifters from the m3 and a good set of cams and an aftermarket management

I reckon wit a few minor mods u wil easily see 170kw frm dat motor. Bmw's power lies in revvin as hi as possible.. So wat u want is standalone engine management, free revvin witout distortion or spluttering nd d correct finaldrive ratio. So ud need a profesional tuner!

Hw many bhp is 170kw?m5 in uk cost around 3 or 4 grand which is expensive.my car i bought was just 700 pounds n 64k on the clock.wld be hard to part with it

Shash alota guys start projects like that and end selling the cars with the motor in the boot. You can get some bargains that way but its risky

I already done my home work for the conversion crank,see what happens when u have alot of time on your hands lol.the 525i is worthless here it should be easy finding a scr*p one as long as the motor is still good
