Ok, in short as obviously can't read, rectifiers convert ac to dc n vice versa, so u need one every time u need to change current type, ie dc for sparks ac for cd player and fuel system etc, hence could be a few needed depending upon useage of car

What is your problem pw? What are you asking? Why three? Because that's how many are needed. May as well ask why does a car need a gearbox or why does a car need so many pistons.

They used in autoelectical in alternator 2 change dc to ac circuit.
