I was readin the street machine magazine and it had an lj torana with 2000hp and ran a 6.81 at 210mph. Now tell me thats not pure australian muscle and power. |

It is true. It is a lj torana owned by a guy named ivan tesic. The torana has plates MR MAD it has a twin-turbocharged small block. The article was in the lastest street machine magazine.

Thats nuts having that much power in a little lj. Australia does have the worlds most powerful street legal car. Its a 5000+hp chev called final objective and it comes from my home town. Outside of america australia has the best muscle cars.

I agree on that. America was the birth place of muscle cars. I think australia is 2nd but then again i might have clouded judgement because im an aussie.

the lexus all alloy v8 is popular for a v8 conversion, lightweight, factory 4bolt mains(i think that might be 6 even) and loves a tune up and some forced induction as well. Regarding that lj, that guy is nutz, has spent a fortune on that motor, but bare in mind, that he purchased the motor complete from a race enginner in USA with the only exception of the turbos and ecu.

You can buy just about any motor from the USA. Even when they have to probably import em themselves.

Well i'm after something with an aluminium block rather than iron, was lookin at rover v8s but they gettin on now. Has to be relatively cheap and not have a massivly tall plenum chamber.

 the latest issue of australia street machine magazine has a phat a*sed hq 2dr monaro on the cover. A guy from qld and it has the plates SICKO. It has a 352 ram jet its a smick show car but still street legal. Will post specs when i get home.
