Bmw 328 wasn't suppose to be launched, it was supposed to be the 325 but after the engine was launched the realized it was 2.8 and not 2.5. They were only limited but the demand was high for it and the rolled out the full production.

the 1970s hq holden was such a poor seller holden paniced and took the belmont model and souped it up as an ss sedan. the hq holden in its various models went on to become and is still the highest selling production car in australias history with 490500 units
