Based on the discussions raised inanother topic, I thought that it wouldbe an informative and educationalexercise if we could discuss the topicof unlocking GSM phones. I'm surethat there are some of you with some knowledge in this area and would bewilling to share this knowledge withthose of us without it. I can unlock any blackberry via MEP and IMEI. I use 3 different tools, one is GSM Toolkit, one is Cyclone Box, and the other is my trade account with networks. but even if I tell you what programs to use, you need to buy security dongles to access the software.

oh, I also forgot about NSPro, which is what I use to unlock samsungs. Vygis is used to unlock LG mobiles, BB Multi Dongle for blackberry, alcatel, ZTE and HTC. setool I use for sony ericsson and also omnitool for sony ericsson. just ask any and I'll tell you the tool, just don't ask about bottom end like sagem, as I don't waste time with them.

without the security dongles the software will not even open, the dongle has a smart card in it which contains encrysption to open the software, this prevents every tom and harry downloading and unlocking for free, which i why i spent a lot of money getting them all, cuz now i make money from it.

unlocking as in network unlocking so the phone accepts any network sim... not unblocking which is unblocking stolen and lost phones that have been barred, that is illegal n can carry a prison sentence in some countries too
