Hello people, I've a problem with two of my 9900. They just switched off one day and started the redlight blinking. I wiped them out using BBSAK and reloaded the OS now whenever I select 3G2G or 3G only, it doesn't change at all. All they show is EDGE only despite selecting 3G only. Please help people. Thanks. |

The 9900 is known for poor battery life and even poorer reception.....sell them and get a 9810.....much better......(just my opinion)....

I realized today I wont sell my 9810. The speeds especially in suburbs is just too awesome. I see people stating 200kbps, I see even 400kbps and higher depending obviously on the server. Best phone ever. It could be maybe your phone is roaming and the network you are roaming on can only let you suck their network juices via EDGE and not 3G. Sounds like a poor reception issue or an OS that has poor and not strong signal lock as far as your network is concerned. Try reload with a different OS older or newer and see.

fos is factory operating system it basically allows you to do things on the phone only RIM can and NV is basically the Radio code for the phone that allows it to connect to different frequencies and bandwidths

Red blink repair is there is a problem with some of the 9900's it does not turn on only the red light keeps blinking. Its the efs that is corrupt repairing that sometimes messes up your imei sometimes but always messes up your NV

its actually a huge flaw because it also allows you to change the imei among other things. Computers are also my toys but had to learn all about blackberry's because of being out of work and needing internet bis is cheaper then adsl or 3G lol

Does the DFS CDMA Tool require an internet connection to do the job? I can't see anything when I click on Write RF.
