Yeah, it's a meter. It counts how many steps you take when walking.

don't u think it's useful then? It helps you keep track of how many steps you take each day. They recommend 10,000 a day to stay fit and healthy. I don't mind it being on my phone but, i use it anyway when i go out so i can see when i get back how many steps i took.
