I just hope Disney didn't influence him

I like his stuff but the second star trek movie he did wasn't that great story wise...
visually I know he'll smash it, but the story needs to be good.

J. J. Abrams directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan, co-writer of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Abrams and Kasdan rewrote the initial script by Michael Arndt, who also wrote the story treatment
Michael Arndt, who wrote the screenplay for Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3 etc but a screenplay is from a story and it's his story
But a screenplay can be changed from a story and the screenplay from the story is written by JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan so it could be good

But wasn't Lucas's stories a bit mad and crazy anyway if you think about it really and it was about the action, it's when he chose to do a proper story for the prequels it got a bit s**t

I have purposely lowered my expectations for this but I can't help but be a tiny bit excited, it's new Star Wars.

I hope they don't change the rules like Disney have with star wars rebels. storm troopers aren't clones anymore they're normal human volunteers...

I'm looking forward and it's in good hands and all, I hope it's just action and fun with a hint of serious on the side. Not to make it some overcomplicated lecture on good and evil, morality etc. Maybe we'll see a few new pop icons too.

The Force Awakens sounds crap though, but I digress.

To be honest I couldn't care less if they ignore all that happened in the prequels, the only one I really liked was the Revenge of the Sith but even that felt like something was missing.
Thought Hayden played an awful Anakin, Jar Jar just jarred me, the politics parts were boring beyond belief so I'm happy just to say they didn't exist
So if they change the story, forget they ever happened and just continue from Return of the Jedi I'll be happy
I even have the original trilogy and didn't bother buying the prequels
