I couldn't afford a Vive or Oculus VR headset so I got a Galaxy S7, bought myself a gearvr headset, used an app called trinusvr and the same app for my computer and paired up the computer with my phone and loaded Steamvr then played Project Cars VR in virtual reality, cheap way of doing it but I liked it. You can also do the same with a ps4 but not sure how. So anyways anyone tried VR gaming? Didn't make me feel sick at at all. |

I was going to get the rift as it's 340 with the controllers and games but I bought a new motherboard and cpu and memory as my cpu was getting bottlenecked by my rx480 and every game I played stuttered even on lower settings so the rift would have been bad at doing vr. Anyways now I can get vr and my PC will be fully compatible. |

Yea i havent read up much on the rift. Ill have to check that one out as well. i ended up just getting the 1080ti ftw3 gpu by itself anyways although it did come with destiny2.. upgraded from my 770 so im looking forward to some 4k ultra gaming for now and will be vr ready for when i decide to make that jump.

I got a ryzen 1600 and two 8 gb rams for really cheap and a gigabyte motherboard on black Friday, I think the rift is better as it's compatible with a lot of games on steam and a lot of oculus exclusives but there is also the Microsoft mixed reality headsets that are coming.

Yea i used to get my stuff from newegg but they got bought out and thier sales now are still higher than amazons regular prices, ive been looking at new mobos and cases etc. Makes want to build another pc but one i got now is running fine but im getting that itch

Nah not for another 5 years at least for me, got my whole catalogue of games to get through that I couldn't play because of stuttering. The whole loot box thing is putting me off any new games. |

Its not that my pc is causing any problem at all, im just getting itch to build another since my pc im using now was my first build and from back in 2012... got to say that i5-2500k has been damn good cpu. |

But yea the whole loot crate is absolute crap...but for the end of that new mordor game instead of grinding for days, or wasting money on loot crates i think id just download a trainer or a save editor..

I've got Shadows of mordor, it's actually really good but once I heard about the grind at the end didn't play it again, also Need for Speed Payback was good until the loot boxes revealed themselves and I'm a big Star Wars fan and they put me off playing that. As long as I can play a game without stuttering or long loading times I'm happy. |
