U brits n europeans r lucky with the prices u pay for games n hardware. Wen PS3 was released in SA it was in excess of R6000 which works out to almost double the launch price in UK. I dread to think wat the next gen consoles will cost me

Lucky?? We pay a lot here. If u wanna call some1 lucky, its the Americans. On average they pay 50-60 percent of what we pay here.

Compare the prices u pay to the prices I pay n ul thank god that u dont live in sa. Everything here is monopolised. There is only 1 dominant landline network provider n they charge a load for internet. Theres only 4 recognised banks. They all just sit around having a laugh n wiping their a*ses with the millions they milk out of the general public.

Just like here then. lol.Take 3DS for example, RRP is 230pounds which is around 400 dollars. In USA RRP is only 250 dollars.

Every time a new competitor joins the market, u think that they'll help bring down the inflated prices. They come, they c wat their competitors r doing, they join them

We also pay around twice what USA does for petrol.

I like what soap said..,here in Africa, gamers are in shyyiittt!!! I do agree that the european market is more expensive than the US,but ultimately,it is also considerably easier to make the required money in your economies-unlike Africa!! There are very few game shops(if any)..retailing a single console at an impossible price,Whats more, you wont even find any accessories!!!
