Explodes on impact in Kazan airport after emergency landing. (That's what I got so far, haven't had a topic like this in some time) |

Yeah, the plane was known to be faulty and they still let it be flown, someone on the plane earlier that day on a previous flight reported serious problems. The pilot woulda known this. Russia has a terrible attitude to aircraft safety.

Another one of these down, then. 737-800 series. I don't know much about this yet. 132 people on board. No chance of survival. It's believed the plane went into a near vertical dive at almost 30,000ft above the city of Wuzhou, descending at 350mph. The pilots had managed to get it to pull up by the time it was down to just 7,500ft, but it dived again, crashing into a mountain side around two miles next to the city. It'd travelled most of it's journey, headed for the industrial province of Guangzhou. It comes after a difficult time for the aviation industry, but a much needed scandal-break for Boeing. China were set to recommission the use of their grounded 737-Max models, but this now looks unlikely. Boeing shares, unsurprisingly, have also nose-dived. |

Well the whole Boeing debacle just got a whole lot more sinister. John Barnett, the former Boeing safety manager turned whistleblower that was supposed to be giving evidence against the company in court was found dead in his car from an ''apparently self-inflicted gun shot'' the day before the trial was due to begin. Barnett's friends and family are reported to be saying that he had spoken to them about the possibility of this exact scenario playing out and had told them ''if anything happens to me, it's not suicide.'' and ''Don't believe it!''. |

@ obi_jon - 15.03.24 - 11:09am Well the whole Boeing debacle just got a whole lot more sinister. If it's not suspicious when one Boeing whistleblower turns up dead in unusual/abnormal circumstances shortly before they were due to testify, how about when another Boeing whistleblower turns up dead in unusual/abnormal circumstances barely 6 weeks later? ![]() |

Your great grandchildren will be falling from the sky in stress fractured airframes with poultry crates in the seat next to them... But they'll have had an amazing selection of street food before they died.. |
