@ dan27notts - 16.10.16 - 03:33pm 1. The kingdom of israel predates any muslim/arab or Christian claims to that area 2. Up until 1947 jews/israelis didnt have a homeland 3. An area was set aside for them to create a homeland by the UN 4. The muslims kept having a pop at them, and kept losing hence why they keep having land took off them. 5. Isreal does not give a fk except for its own citizens and rightly so. Are we reestablishing all borders from over a millennia ago or does your stupid rationale only apply to that one instance? |

@ 3mel - 16.10.16 - 04:22pm one of the reasons Israel is supported is simply because many christians believe their presence is required for the return of Christ and the fulfilment of prophecy. can't remember who it was but our Prime Minister at the time said as much in his memoirs. i.e. Israel needs to exist so that it can be attacked (and I think destroyed) as a herald for the return of Christ. https |

@ propidol - 16.10.16 - 04:31pm Are we reestablishing all borders from over a millennia ago or does your stupid rationale only apply to that one instance? No, where did i say all borders? You cant deny the jews have a very strong claim for that area of land that was taken from there, and the fact that it was taken rather then them just moving of their own accord being the key element |

You do know how stupid that sounds, don't you? That's why I asked the question I did. If such spurious logic is the reasoning for establishing this border then all ancient borders can be re established lol. A thousand years ago we had three different kings in 1016 and our border was very different.

Well if we want to go down the 'spurious logic' root rather than just looking at the facts of this individual case then why did britian give up its empire? If historical borders dont matter and only present ones they why didnt all those african countries and india just shut up and except they dont have a homeland anymore? Fking clown. |

I agree about the U.S and Australia and at least some of the natives have been given protected land etc at least its something but not ideal. Jews were still living in the area when israel was reformed |

And then we become an outpost of the Danish naval empire. Idiot. |
