Sooo, she can return to UK to fight for citizenship, Court of Appeal rules Lord Justice Flaux - sitting with Lady Justice King and Lord Justice Singh - said: Fairness and justice must, on the facts of this case, outweigh the national security concerns, so that the leave to enter appeals should be allowed. https I can't help, but wonder the competency of this decision; isn't it obvious that this decision may actually encourage some Brits to actually run off and join terror groups knowing they can always use the umbrella of human rights if things don't go according to plan? |

Am I right in saying she's not stateless ? That she could live in Pakistan legally because of her father ?

The law has to be adhered to. The Governemnt knew full well she would win on an appeal and only rescinded her password for show. If she didn't do the Interview with the Times she'd of been back here long ago. Unfortunately she's our problem

I'm somewhat suspicious that this story and the inevitable controversy it will provoke, will be used to distract the public from any number of things the government is currently doing and/or would prefer us not to be focused on. Like the upcoming release of the report on Russian interference in the 2016 Brexit referendum and recent general elections, for instance, or just the generally incompetent sh*tshow they've made of handling the pandemic.

Earlier you mentioned you respected principles within a person. would you adhere to to segregation laws back in its time? It's BS to use the very basic human rights designed to protect people to shoot them on the foot; human rights have become self-sabotaging rather than evolving towards a solution. Change the laws; dump garbage like this out. |

ISIS had experts in the field of propaganda and to influence/radicalise people like her at such a young age. Without doubt she was groomed by them. She will come here and face Justice here, however let's have it right, the intelligence services believe around 1000 ISIS fighters have returned to the UK, whom I have no doubt are 100s x more dangerous than her. |

Well we do have a Governemnt that's tried it's hand in Fascism so maybe they won't adhere to it, and they they will carry on only applying the law when it suits them. You can't pick and choose when to apply law |

You can't pick and choose when to apply law You have got to adopt every decision with proportionality. National security and treason are equally as important of principles as Article 2's right to life or Article 6's right to a fair trial, but which one is more important right now? Right of a treacherous evil ISIS supporter or rights of millions of decent hardworking individuals from all walks of life? |

You Cant just ignore the law because you dont like Someone or because their crimes are heinous . Thats exactly why lady justice wears a blindfold ,one day it might not be her charged with something it might be you or me . The law matters

You're not caughting my point, buddy. All laws are applied to proportionality test; that's the principle basis for any legal system. |

What's the point in having higher standards in legal procedure and compassion in the west if we don't adhere to it? The very thing that we purport sets us apart from the likes of Isis, nah? |

Can't see the point In it to be honest, it says she can return to fight for her citizenship being taken off her, something she can't do from Syria. So she comes back and the case will be decided by video link ? ERM keep her there and set up a video link from there seems to be a solution.

The very thing that we purport sets us apart from the likes of Isis, nah? No right should be absolute; everything is depenent upon context and circumstances. Law isn't about compassion; it's about delivering the most effective legal outcome taking into account fairness and justice. There is absolutely zero reason to jeapordize national security to protect the rights of a national terrorist. Zero. |
