@ obi_jon - 6.10.23 - 09:49am You didn't get anything wrong, we were in fact both correct. They are the republican party's(what I said) own house(what you said) rules. We both had the same rule in mind, the confusion was all wakeup's(as per usual) jumping to conclusions in desperation to find any kind of an argument. So you got it wrong again? |

@ obi_jon - 6.10.23 - 06:48am Nope, without an elected speaker they can't change it. ![]() I mean, they could but they'd have to elect another Republucan speaker first in order to change the rule and we've all seen what a hard time they had doing that when McCarthy eventually got the job after 20odd votes. Can you not read or something? Just so we're clear, i'm not personally opposed to the idea of Trump being the house speaker at all ![]() ![]() So yeah, they can go right ahead and give him the job if they want for all I care ![]() |

He'd also be required to be physically present at the house or at least in Washington most of the time when the house is in session, there'd be no time for him to go golfing, he wouldn't be able to swan off down to Mar-D-Lardo whenever he wanted and he wouldn't have time to be flying around the country attending cult rallies on the campaign trail. He'd be busy swimming around in the swamp with his fellow swamp creatures.

@ wakeup4 - 19.09.23 - 06:54pm Again its another great advert for home schooling Is it really though? In some states there are zero rules governing home schooling and there aren't many even in the ones that do have rules. You don't even have to register your child as home schooled in some states, some states just require that you register them once and then that's it, whilst others say you have to register them once per school year. There are pretty much no checks on what is or isn't being taught to homeschooled kids, if indeed anything is being taught at all ![]() The vast majority of child neglect and child abuse cases, are first noticed and flagged by the children's teachers and reported to relevant authorities by their schools. They tend to notice when children are turning up to school malnourished or covered in bruises, they even have people that are trained to spot warning signs and changes in children's behaviour that indicate that the kid may be having problems. There is a level of safeguarding in schools that home schooled kids are denied. Sometimes the kids need to be protected from their parents because not all kids have perfect picture postcard home lives and being a parent doesn't automatically make someone a good person ![]() ![]() |

@ wakeup4 - 9.10.23 - 03:54pm The state doesnt own the kids you bell end Homeschooling is too protect them from the state Nobody said anything about anyone owning kids, you're just making stuff up and attempting to move the goalposts now. Homeschooling doesn't protect them from a bad state of mind, or for that matter a mind like yours, that is in a right state. |
