just read about it on bbc website. The iphone records all kinds of data about you, your phonebook, where you go, when you make calls etc, and stores it in a file ready to send to apple without you even knowing. On apples website theres some small print somewhere that says its intentional to do that. This means you need to be more concerned about your privacy. |

I hardly think the phone becmes cr*p because you didn't read the small print. I did and I am aware of it. If you are of the paranoid or worry about this issue, then it is up to you to decide what is the best action for you. I will be keeping my iphone.  In addition, there are plenty of ways to secure your phone prior to it falling into the wrong hands.

No polo it has not affected anyone. It's someone doing research and scaremongering about how it could possibly affect someone. When they stop google mapping my backyard, then they can talk to me about privacy issues.

We leave an identify trail everywhere we go, bank, supermarket, petrol station, census, driving licence, electoral roll, internet, email, calls, text, sms. Goodness knows how a 'real' spy manages to hide himself. It must be near impossible to be James Bond these days.

i dont see how collecting private information will improve the user experience. They should sort the blood software and hardware issues out instead of selling cr*p that needs software updates cos the engineers are too thick to work out whats wrong.

what it also means is that your iphone is wasting some of its processing time running a task in the background collecting info about you and sending it to apple. This not only uses up ur data tarif and slows your connection but also means it isnt gonna run other tasks as quickly. Disappointing
