Android Central or Android Authority actually had an article about this, along with The Verge, talking about the best Google experience being on the iPhone. Its about to get a whole lot better though, Google announced that they are in the process of rebuilding all their iOS/iPadOS apps to better follow Apples UI design and stay consistent with iOS UX, so in a few months time their apps will be even better than they are right now.
