i believe rap took over country to be the most popular musical style, i think that might have been for the US only, will try and find the article i was reading, the problem is, as always, genres are subjective so am unsure how they get their figures :)

Genres dont exist anymore! Evry band that records a song claim there a new genre like screamcore or industrial electrorock or ambiant thrashcore! It me off!
