Although both have walked out before, it does seem serious this time - it's been bubbling under since Liam apparently said 'something unforgivable' to Noel during the making of Standing on the Shoulders.. the band haven't actually split and intend to play the remaining 3 shows without Noel. Personally I think fans would demand both Gallagher brothers for Oasis to have a long-term future.
