to be a fangirl or fanboy? you know, start listening to interviews, watch all the decent videos you can find, try to get the b sides out. and just the all out music nerdiness. For now, mine is and has been Mew for the past year and a half. They never cease to amaze me. Im looking into getting the first 2 albums released over 10 years ago. should be pretty awesome. |

I can appreciate the 'only listen to the music' point of view, but interviews and background info on the artist can give you a different insight into particular songs - say a track had been written shortly after a relationship breakup, or the artist had lost both arms and was playing guitar with his feet or whatever. Perhaps the artist had also written a book as brilliant as their music -

how would you know? What if the artist says in an interview that they're gigging in your town next week? If you really love an artist/band OF COURSE you're going to want as much info as possible.

I guess after i moved to the uk, the stuff you can listen to is is different - i listen to streams on myspace. lame i know. but what you can listen to is different than in the states. and wow O.O seriously just mind blowing. they wouldnt pull that on a record.
