Back in the 70s and 80s there werent many women in bands. Or as the main band member. Now though there are so many. Which i think is excellent. I will start with some bands i who are either all female or have at least 1 female in the group. Not forgetting The Breeders - ex Pixie Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly of Throwing Muses got together to provide awesomely meaty riffs that'd shake the testosterone out of their male rock counterparts. 'Cannonball' has one of the most memorable intros this side of Smells Like Teen Spirit or Iron Man. Essential.
