Good news joker! Thought it would be sometime soon. Although I dont think wp7 is making the same impact in the uk as it is eleswhere. Phones 4u told me they dont sell any wp7 phones at all and you are lucky to see just one model on sale in the other shops. So when microsoft tell us its the next big smartphone platform you will forgive if I remain somewhat sceptical lol.

Its not doing well any where in the world, in some parts MS is actualy losing market share, Steve Ballmer, the CEO, has also admitted its not doing well.

Think your right polo and surely Nokia must realise that by now? If they are forced to back out of producing wp7 phones then the future of Nokia could look even more grim than it allready is.

didn't get an update notification but i hooked my hd7 up to my pc and bam zune says update available  installing mango right now

Good news although I wont be experiancing the update myself now as I just swapped my hd7 for a windows internet tablet lol. Good luck wp7 owners!

the question is has the update arrived soon enough to save the platorm? lets hope so then I may get another wp7 handset myself at my next upgrade date.

Even if Mango came standard i doubt WP would've gathered much momentum, iOS, Android and even BlackBerry are so in your face and dominant globaly its difficult for MS even with all their cash to fit in,we may see a slight rise in marketshare for WP, but i doubt it will be near as much as enthusiasts hope.

my Mango update for O2 HTC HD 7 only got notified the other day... but the download is good. the phone is quicker n very snappy... its a good software update but I think for your average user they prefer the android layout n design... its more user friendly plus hell of a lot more handset choice. still use my Bold as number one phone but I like my HTC HD 7. got rid of my Mozart for it.
