My favourite ever news story is about a group of Mexican prisoners who dug a tunnel to escape. However, just as in The Great Escape, their tunnel was too short and when they finished it, they realised it came up in a courtroom. The same courtroom where they were later found guilty of trying to escape and had their sentences extended.
