it sounds wrong to me, i realise there is a problem with ppl not wantin to work, but Dole is for those who lost their jobs isn't it? if yes, didn't they contribute to a fund while workin incase of sittin without work for a period? seems wrong to 'punish' ppl who want to work nd are already takin a hard knock.

From my understand based off topics. Dole is even for people who find some excuse to not work. Even those fit for duty.

 really not sure... but still it doesn't sound like a solution to me.. coz those are jobs ppl already hace, wouldn't it make them lose their jobs, others not employed in those jobs as now they can get it done even cheaper.

i really don't understand ppl who don't want to work tho.. not talkin abt sick ppl, i mean healthy ppl, nd havin a child is no excuse not to work, it should be what pushes u to work.

I guess it depends on the country. Sometimes it's city workers that does these jobs and sometimes it's people working off a judges sentence (community work) or charity

if someone was forced to go out and work for their dole says 6 hours a day 5 days a week, when are they supposed to find a proper job ? and yes some employers would take advantage of this free labour

To qualify for dole, do claim seekers have to prove they are looking for work and prove how many app they put in?

i havnt been on the dole for over 25 years but even then you had to apply for so many jobs a week and show proof when you went to sign on

Its all done on computers now,the DWP can see what jobs your applying for on their data base,a claimant is expected to apply or look into no less than 12 vacancies or at least 12 visits to the universal jobs match. |

If they can suddenly create all these positions to get people of their arses,why are they not availible now for people to apply for  it is not going to be plain sailing and like everything else this government come up with,will fail.

Just absolutely defeats and undermines the purpose of out of work benefits, it's a door that you don't want open because once that abuse starts...
