No. It has nothing to do with valium at all. Although the chemicals that valerian contains do effect the same parts of the brain that benzodiazepines work upon, namely the GABA* receptors. Hence why valerian is often used as a substitute for valium. *GABA receptors have nothing to do with ridiculously fast tempo electronic music. |
