I was allowed out to play when I was six, that would be 45mins at a time around the block (we lived on a green but there were alleyways and mounds/bushes I played where I couldn't be seen.

Admittedly my dad could've reached me within a minute but he wouldn't have known if I'd fell and cracked my head open knocked out.
