@ ementalm - 4.07.15 - 04:28pm curry is just the sauce and if it serves me correctly masala means cooked in a clay oven or is that the tandoori bit? Yup, I believe the literal translation of curry is 'gravy' or 'sauce' and Tandoori is when something is cooked in a Tandoor oven. Masala/Massala/Masalla/Massalla is a blend of spices. |

Pudding/dessert course after a curry, not with it. A traditional Indian dessert would be something like a Lassi. Non of the curry houses around here even sell desserts, or if they do, it would likely be a not very Indian cake trolley or some ice cream. |
