well they're not intended to be sexual but they make you tingle. this is a something I'd not heard of 20 minutes ago but I'm thinking I could be a convert. ''Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a euphoric experience characterized by a static-like tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, precipitating relaxation.'' basically these are videos of whispering gently into a microphone and creating sound effects that make you get a shivery tingle in your scalp and down the back of your neck. best experienced alone somewhere quiet via headphones. anyways here's an example of the genre below. be aware, the video is 27 minutes long http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81l8LZPJLUQ |

I'm still working my way thru this stuff but yeah that girl was cute, I still got something out of it. I think you can't just watch it in passing, you've got to be happy to give some time over to it where you haven't got things to do too soon. here's a better example ~ Binaural ASMR Head Scalp Massage |

at a guess I'd say if you were the type of person that can watch a movie of someone getting a neck massage or having fingers run thru their hair and kinda identify with what that person might be feeling, this might work for you. I'd never heard of it until I watched a parody sketch on one of my YouTube channels. that video was more effective than the examples I've posted (so much so that it made me go look for more). guess it didn't hurt that Bree Essrig has something mysterious about her... is this one of them weird experiments, to explain why you get tingling sensations on your back, the ones where you're not cold or hot or someone's touching you, or them 'like someone's walked over your grave' feelings.

In the old Larry Niven 'Known Universe' series there was this addictive stimulation device um.. What was it called? They called the users 'Wireheads' anyway. Droud: a device for the direct stimulation of the brain's pleasure centre. By the time of the sequel to Ringworld, Louis Wu is an addict. |

it's hard to explain iil, it can be whispering or sounds created by everyday objects and activities. there should be hundreds of videos to investigate on YouTube with ASMR in the title. 5 undisturbed minutes and a pair of headphones are essential minimum requirements. |
