I remember the royal wedding. Charles and Diana, obviously. I didn't care though, I was only 5. The Bradford fire was more a vivid childhood event for me - I was like 10, in bed (or on it), watching the match live, at the time. So I saw the whole thing unfold. That was mad, and has stayed with me. |

I got into trouble for making a crayon drawing of it, complete with red crayon blood spatter exiting his head! I was puzzled by the reaction as I thought it was my best drawing to date

9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. I was 8 or 9 and was playing in the living room. My grandpa was watching TV whilst having his dinner and it was on the news. My whole family crowded around the TV. Everything became really eerie. I was so disturbed by what I saw and was struggling to understand the suffering, death and reality of the events. I had lots of questions to ask. I was trying to talk about it but everyone kept shushing me ![]() The memory is still raw in my mind like it was yesterday. I can still picture that TV screen vividly. |

Second major event I recall is watching the footage of the Tsunami that devastated many parts of India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand. I can't recall what year it was but I was in 5th or 6th grade at school. I again asked questions about people being trapped etc you know, children have a natural curiosity to what they hear/see on the news ![]() |

A c**t of a stepdad drowning our pet rabbit in front of us and making me and my siblings watch, when I was about 6. I can't remember existing before then.
