So how sustainable are you. Around the home, in the workplace. How much do know about whats going on in the world. I just watched the national geographic movie called before the flood narrated by leonardo di caprio where he talks about climate change and so on. Then again talking about this on this site i dont know that anyone would care enough |

I'm aware if it living near the coast, real estate on the coast is a bit of a scam if you factor in the encroaching spectre of rising sea levels.

Can't say we can stop whatever will come next even if we try, nature on a correction course can be a devastating thing. Giant polar vortices and such. Oceans that can become toxic to life for millennia (as during The Great Dying millions of years ago).

Apart from our own pollution, we have nothing to worry about for many thousands of years.

Our own pollution aside, yes I do believe in natural climate change. You've only got to look at the land, at the Grand Canyon, the movement of continents, etc, to see that earth has changed and will continue to change. What I'm saying is that isn't a foreseeable issue, there isn't gonna be some sudden ice age or flood age, other than the usual level of events that have been reliably recorded over the last few hundred years. |

The pollution level has reached an alarming rate here in Delhi esp after Diwali. All the construction and demolition work has been banned for a few weeks. Schools are closed for a few days. It has been getting worse year after year. It does not really affect most of us much, but those with respiratory problems it's bad for them. We have been breathing toxic air for years now. Because bursting crackers and having 5-10 luxurious cars is more important than the planet we live on. A lovely legacy we're leaving for our future generation to clean up.

You've only got to look at the land, at the Grand Canyon, the movement of continents, etc, to see that earth has changed and will continue to change. What I'm saying is that isn't a foreseeable issue, there isn't gonna be some sudden ice age or flood age, other than the usual level of events that have been reliably recorded over the last few hundred years. in the immediate future green house gases mean a rise in overall temperature levels within the range of fluctuation they cover. this in turn means rising sea levels through the melting of the ice caps, which also means millions of displaced people from lower lying areas... aka more immigrants and refugees travelling across the globe looking for new places they can live when that's not something we're good at dealing with. |

...which is our own pollution. The very point I made in the first place. Don't tell me, these greenhouse gases and melting icebergs aren't caused by man's industrialised living habits, but by hedgehogs and dolphins farting, or something..? |
