Shake the living daylights out of an egg, put it in the microwave for a minute, shake again, put it in for another minute. Break it open and voila! - Instant scrambled egg.

You can buy all sorts specialised gadgets for cooking eggs in a microwave but most of them are a bit crap, just loads of faffing about and extra washing up to do afterwards so I wouldn't bother, nothing beats a Pyrex bowl with a small m/wavable plate or saucer as a lid. Egg in bowl Season with black pepper but NOT salt(or you'll end up with dry eggs) Add a small n*b of butter or a half teaspoon of cooking oil if you want/have them(or a teaspoon of water if you don't) Beat well. Put plate lid on(you could use cling film but I wouldn't) zap it on full power for 30-45secs. Remove lid(carefully) and beat/mix again with a fork. Zap for a another 30-45secs. Mix again and scoff from bowl with fork(or whatever). |
