At least one gunman is reported to have opened fire at a country music festival being held on the Las Vegas strip. Videos on social media show hundreds of people fleeing from the scene. The sound of what appears to be automatic gunfire can be heard insome clips. Live footage from the scene shows a heavily armed police presence down the Las Vegas strip. Multiple people have been taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. |

just seen 3 videos of it nothing graphic but you could hear the gun fire and it sounded like a machine gun , not sure if its terror related as it is in america and they often get shootings

One suspect is down, police confirmed. Shooter or shooters fired into crowd from upper floors of hotel. 2 people have sadly died and there are multiple casualties.

Concertgoers at a Route 91 Harvest country music festival performance reported a burst of weapons fire as the concert was underway. The shots appeared to be coming from an upper floor of the hotel, some witnesses said.

Police saying they believe the neutralised suspect(thought to have been shot dead) was the sole perpetrator. Earlier reports of multiple incidents happening at other locations on the Las Vegas strip believed to be false.

Police say they do not believe there are any more active suspects involved beyond the one they've shot dead. Suspect said to be a local resident. 20 now confirmed dead, 100+ injured.

The Asian female being sought is being treated as a 'person of interest' to the investigation as a known associate of the shooter, possibly his room-mate. Both Nevada residents. |
