Yes Kipling, I think shyte farming methods have a lot to answer for. Take eggs. The cheap ones are from chickens who live in cages in a barn, packed together like sardines, terrible state of health. The organic ones are from chickens who have a garden, and can wonder about outdoors. Not only is the former out of order, but the eggs are way down on nutrition. Organic eggs can have over four times the vitamin D, for starters. Battery farming is disgraceful, and is also giving us crap food. |

If we're gonna raise animals just for eating we should give them the best lives we possibly can. Meat and dairy should be much more expensive, first because ppl eat too much of it and are too fat and secondly to pay for the ultra high welfare costs of keeping the animals in the best living conditions and stress free farms they will be raised on.
