As if 2020 wasnt a bizarre enough of a year already, the Pentagon sparked a flurry of news headlines thanks to a turn of events that sounds like the stuff of science fiction movies. UFO videos declassified by the Pentagon were released on Monday, following the confirmation of their existence back in the fall by the US Navy which initially refused to release them on national security grounds. At the beginning of this year, we were among a slew of media outlets who reported that the Navy was sitting on a small handful of videos purporting to show UFOs flying rapidly and in a weird fashion over the Pacific Ocean. At the time, the official line from the Office of Naval Intelligence was that, to borrow that famous line from the X-Files, the truth is definitely out there, but releasing the videos that the Navy was sitting on would supposedly cause exceptionally grave damage to the countrys national security. On Monday, the Pentagon went ahead and released the footage. Which makes this something like the millionth piece of evidence so far that proves 2020 will go down as the most bizarre year in generations. What do you think this unidentified flying object could possibly be? What are some speculations that could explain what flew close to the Earth's atmosphere? |

@ phallica - 18.06.20 - 02:46pm My heart says UFOs, my head says ducks. I dunno, can't see a duck staying ahead of a jet fighter for a few minutes. |

An aircraft tracking say a bird in the centre of the tracker's FOV in equal distance of the aircraft travelling at great speed and causing a parallax illusion of the sea, giving the impression it's going faster than it actually is. Remember this is an aircraft tracking a metre wide object while going at the speed of sound from 8km away. |

I saw the video six months back, it's not a duck. can't say I know for certain but radar is more than likely to be calibrated to eliminate/distinguish birds, if they're even radar reflective. |

That reminded me of the Father Ted scene No Dougal .. the small cows are just far away ...the big cows are nearer ![]() |
