it's Elon Musk's much hyped high speed transport system. the basic idea is train like pods travelling at speeds of over 700mph in sealed, almost airless tunnels. it's what his 'The Boring Company' was started for.  here's a short promo video envisaging this bright new future some versions of the project had carriages that your own car could drive into and be shuttled at speed. |

the reality is somewhat more laughable as of recent. the Vegas tunnel that started it's service involves being chauffeur driven in a Tesla car sat alongside strangers at a maximum speed of 30mph http://youtu.be/NFWZWDqyV2I |

I vaguely remember this idea kicking around in the 90's ....the idea was build them across the atlantic .....it's the future alright .....but obviouly not just yet lol

I think in our lifetime his earth to earth shuttle flights , that are planned ,will be bigger and world changing .. imagine USA to Europe in under an hour

Why is Elon getting all the cream when Richard Branson has already done it? Virgin's Hyperloop carried passengers last year. HS2's looking pretty dated already. To think they could've put a tube in the ground and preserved so much natural habitat... |
