Noope, some Islamic scholars have accepted evolution, some have rejected it, it's all down to personal opinion really.

It doesn't speak about evolution from what I remember, It does not contain a complete chronology of creation. The age of universe is not specifically mentioned, however scholars have after calculations using the book stated it to be around 18.25 billion years and the age of Earth one third of the age of universe.

Now of fine clay have We created man: Then We placed him, a moist germ, in a safe abode; then made We the moist germ a clot of blood: Then made the clotted blood into a piece of flesh; then made the piece of flesh into bones: and We clothed the bones with flesh: Then brought forth man of yet another make. Blessed, therefore, be God the most excellent of makers. (23: 12-14). You have eyes, but can you SEE?

In the words of Mewlana Rumi: First man appeared in the class of inorganic things, Next he passed there from into that of plants. For years he lived as one of the plants, Remembering naught of his inorganic state so different; And when he passed from the vegetive to the animal state He had no remembrance of his state as a plant, Except the inclination he felt to the world of plants, Especially at the time of spring and sweet flowers. Like the inclination of infants towards their mothers,

Which know not the cause of their inclination to the breast... Again the great Creator, as you know, Drew man out of the animal into the human state. Thus man passed from one order of nature to another, Till he became wise and knowing and strong as he is now. Of his first souls he has now no remembrance. And he will be again changed from his present soul.

Evolution occurs not only biologically, but in the consciousness as well. Ponder over it.

@ vampboy - 6.01.13 - 09:23am It doesn't speak about evolution from what I remember, It does not contain a complete chronology of creation. The age of universe is not specifically mentioned, however scholars have after calculations using the book stated it to be around 18.25 billion years and the age of Earth one third of the age of universe. If they came up with those figures 1000 years ago I might be impressed. If they came up with them after the age of the universe was already established by science then I call those scholars liars and con men. |

@ saxobeat - 7.01.13 - 02:15am Evolution occurs not only biologically, but in the consciousness as well. Ponder over it. Evolution is change over a period of time. |

Yes it is. Insurmountably. like germ theory, atomic theory. How has gravity been proven?
