I don't know all the details but i heard about sharia law is to medically sever somebody's spine, because that person crippled somebody ten years ago. Sharia law is an eye for an eye, but blood money usually settles things. But this person has no money to give. |

Saudi man Ali Al Khawahir was aged 14 when he stabbed his friend in the back bone causing his friend to be paralysed. Ali has been imprisoned for ten years but now he must pay blood money or have his spinal cord severed in an eye for an eye punishment.

thats saudi fatwas... fatwas vary from nation to nation... but an eye for an eye is not Islamic practice...

Sharia law is based on Quran and hadith. there are fatwas that vary from city to city because some of it is influenced by man. eye for an eye is a jewish practice, there is an incident whereby in medina some of the jews were up to mischief and were caught and were supposed to be punished they insisted that they be punished by jewish law... i.e. which was death eye for an eye...
