That there actually is a higher power, but that no religion has any more knowledge of it than cattle in a field do. I see religions as the ruling parts of civilisations trying to claim ownership of this higher power, for their own social control ends. I also believe that there is room in science for a higher power. Dark matter, or the God particle. But to believe this you must accept that up to this point science must be correct, and where it is at odds with facts claimed in the bible and other... |

I consider myself spiritual but not religious. Religion is manmade and a lot of cr*p. Like tiny, I believe in a higher power. To what end? I don't know that answer to that. Yet. So, if u like to call us agnostic, just because we don't happen to share religious views, then sobeit.

@ iilmadme - 30.04.13 - 02:40pm that's why i asked,i was non religious too but hadnt seen myself as agnostic for years I didn't even know what it was as a word for a long time, I thought you had to be a religious or an aetheist, neither seemed to fit, so I thought of myself as spiritual, but the definition I learned of Agnostic just felt like a better fit. I'm open minded as far as logic and reason allow me to be, hence my dislike of manmade religion as a concept. I feel no need for a middle man who wants to dictate what I should believe, especially when none of them make any sense or hold any truth to me. I h |

I have no time for that. In the same way I don't want to tell others what to believe, that's what I hate most about religion, believe this or you'll go to hell etc. I automatically rebel against that until I see proof of something that makes it believable to me. I don't respond to threats and promises, I respond to provable facts. Faith filling in the gaps where facts should be to connect it to reality is just a cop out to me.
