I will raise them up a prophet, from AMONG THEIR BRETHEREN,LIKE UNTO THEE and I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him (Holy Bible): Deuteronomy 18:18. When asked, all Christians agree that that verse refers to Jesus Christ, while all the evidence are clear cut, that that verse refers to somebody else than Christ. |

A prophet from among their brethren means from the brethren of the Jews, meaning the Arabs. Abraham had two sons. His first born son was Ishmael from whom the Arabs descend and a his second born son is Isaac from whom Jews descend. unto thee means the expected prophet will be like Moses. Jesus is not like Moses, but Mohammad PBUH is like Moses. And I will put my words in his mouth describes perfectly how Mohammad PBUH received revelation of the exact words of God in the form of the verses of the Quran.....

and one more thing If this verse does not apply to Prophet Muhammad PBUH the prophecy in this verse will be unfulfilled. Because the Prophet Jesus himself never claimed to be the Prophet alluded to in this verse. much discussed this verse in this forum before....read my topic on this verse....

in Alvar's faith and most of Christianity it's like a blasphemy to say such things. But you'll say it anyway. But when they criticize your faith we should all have respect because your feelings are hurt . And blasphemy is punishable with death . But you're all tolerant and peaceful and your religion is a religion of peace. Interesting. |

The Bible and the Quran aren't the same thing as Greek and Roman mythology isn't either. Similar but not the same.

Jews so to say are from Jacob and amongst the 12 tribes are the bretheren. Ishmael was not Gods way and so to say cast away. So was not Esav who gave away his firstborn right. Joseph Smith etc other prophets did claim to have special revelation also. |

@ alvar89 - 2.01.16 - 01:35am Jews so to say are from Jacob and amongst the 12 tribes are the bretheren. Ishmael was not Gods way and so to say cast away. So was not Esav who gave away his firstborn right. Joseph Smith etc other prophets did claim to have special revelation also. Therein lies the problem. Muslims have this thing about the last Prophet, who they believe is mohammed. Thereby locking the door on Joseph Smith and Donald Trump et al. It was a sneaky trick calling him the last prophet but lucrative. |

When asked, all Christians agree that that verse refers to Jesus Christ, while all the evidence are clear cut, that that verse refers to somebody else than Christ. if the evidence is clear cut, where do you get the word 'the LAST prophet'? (please don't say another source) also, by the time you read you v.18, did you read v.15, or did you just skip the preceeding verses and go straight to v.18, then claim 'evidence clear cut' |

Jews? how can it refer to jew when the time those verses were written, the word Jew hadn't yet existed, the etymology of the word Jew is from a different time frame than Israelites. actually its prime usage is from the New Testament as opposed to Old, So Bretheren naturally means Israelites. |

@ ogdenz - 1.01.16 - 08:19pm Is prophet Mohammed mentioned by name in the bible? No, but, so is neither Jesus Christ. BUT, LIKE UNTO THEE, can't be ignored. Meaning, like u, Moses. Christians claim Jesus is God,Moses never had that title so, it s UNLIKE Moses. Also, according to Christian belief, Jesus went to Hell or souls of the deceased, Moses didn't. So, it's UNLIKE Moses.Jesus was born through God s intervention, by a word of God, Moses wasn't. So, it's UNLIKE Moses. So, it MUST be an ordinary person,...But,.... |

So we have established Mohammed isn't mentioned in the bible. Why wouldn't god just make sure his name is mentioned in the bible? ...just to avoid any confusion at a later date.

@ 0gypsy0 - 2.01.16 - 03:47pm Exodus 7:1 Then the LORD said to Moses, See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. In the Bible (not the Quran) god means having authority over other people one who derives his power and authority speaking Gods words and would therefore be Gods representative to the Pharaoh . PS:not all Christians believe Jesus is god and none of them think he was just an ordinary person, you blasphemer. Lol. You're hurting their feelings, you're so insensible. |

As per usual, Christians are mute. BTW, Muhammad was just an ordinary person. Just like that |
