imo, it is almost impossible to live/dwell there for long. as it is said there will be human mission(s) to mars, so, 1). would You like to join such a mission??? 2) afa I can understand, it will be straight suicide, what is Your opinion. 3). the Holy Quran (55, 35) has afore mentioned that if some1 leaves the earth for space, he/she will not be able to defend himsef/herself (i.e. wont survive). does the bible/talmud say something or anything like that? |

It's a one way mission. Not a suiside mission. If the human race wants to devide and survive then it's necessary. Otherwise we will all die on this planet

Otherwise we will all die on this planet And we will all die on Mars as well, it's all about what's sustainable right now, maybe Mars for long term, but short term, let's improve our perception of reality and bring a change to this planet first before getting on the spaceship. |

The ISS wasn't meant here,, it was mars and the ISS is in danger all the time due to the debris in the near space and the left over / burnt satellites. A collision with few Kg of sold mass is enough to bring ISS to an end. The ISS receives its stocks/spares on regular bases, it may not be the possible for mars missions. on the mars, apart from the atmosphere, an other hostile blind is the meteors/asteroids. I cann't believe there, humans will survive that rain.(@crail) |

Humans are pretty tough. Look at the Eskimos etc. Yes, mars is a one way mission for now, but look how far we've come in just 100 years. Add another thousand to that (if we're still here lol)

(I lurve Mass Effect) 2) It's a suicide mission that's worth it. ![]() 3) Don't know. |

I like to think 'will not be able to defend yourself' means when we finally find other life forms in space that they will possibly be hostile. It really doesn't make sense meaning 'won't survive in space', because we can

@ crail - 30.03.18 - 08:59pm I like to think 'will not be able to defend yourself' means when we finally find other life forms in space that they will possibly be hostile. It really doesn't make sense meaning 'won't survive in space', because we can There are a lot of possibilities, just take into account the human psychological behavior, if one among the group suffers, will make the life of the rest worse. as an example,, h t t p s:// t i n y u r l . c o m /y8e26vus This man was lucky, he returned to the base camp. but... and PTSD is relatively a new word for me. I my self have to work some time in ''stress'', as a recent example, me and my colleagues were to remove one, 30 ampere battery charger module from the rest. this DC b/c is responsible for running 15 RTUs and telephone exchange . we were given 15 minutes, because the battery bank was almost drained, and was giving low V alarm, when we detached the faulty module, the rest of the charger also failed... apart from what happened next, this is a world where every thing is available. From mars,, ebay, amazon, alibaba, are far away. either I am poor so I cannot think of such and such, or...... imo, If what ever is spent on mars missions and the like, is spent on the humanity, elevation of poverty, education in 3rd world, cheap medicine research, etc,, the world will be far more better then the best colony on mars. |

It will be arduous. But we will do it. We inhabit every continent on this planet. The next step will bring challenges, we will do what humans do best: overcome, adapt, innovate.
