Who has seen the movie The Happening? M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening is Based on the Gaia Hypothesis, that postulates that the Earth is a living organism, or Gaia. What do you think?

The Gaia Hypothesis is that the Earth and all its components are a symbiotic system where everything else affects the other. It was looked at as the Earth being a living entity that could potentially turn on human beings if they intentionally harmed it. And I think that with all the filth we have been dumping on Her, perhaps She has started retaliating?

So, is the Earth a living biological entity? And is it sentient?
@phos | 10 July 08 | |
And lastly is it merely a living bio-organism, or is it trully the living goddess?

Or is this whole Gaia theory just wishfull thinking?
@phos | 10 July 08 | |
Or is it wishfull thinking from my side that anyone will actually not only answer these questions, but actually discuss the whole thing.

So you think most people too chicken to even contemplate possibility?

That sounds like some kind of challenge!

A challenge to others to SAY something. OR to come up with an interesting TOPIC.

I believe Gaia is truely a goddess she gives us all we need and ppl take advantage of her. we should consider how we live and how we could ease her pain...
